Somehow I'm not getting notifications when comments are sent...I realize this is coming back to you far too late...you could use sugar icing...I just find ganache can be smoothed so easily and makes for a very nice finished product. Sugar icing is more fiddly, but you can certainly use it! Hope your cake was fantastic!Cakes by Setiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01315004181436141845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8652391318215472486.post-87617595077223448092013-07-26T00:20:38.213-07:002013-07-26T00:20:38.213-07:00Hi their :)

I baked a large sheet cake (two layers) and sculpted the general form from the outline. From the left over pieces, I added some "abs" and 'pecs". Then, covered in chocolate ganached, and smoothed it until it all looked like one solid form. I love working with chocolate ganache because you can add more chocolate or smooth away what isn't working! Just use 2 round pieces for the pecs and some small long pieces for ab marks. The..er...appendage (ha ha), I made out of rice krispie treats! Just shaped it as best I could and covered it in chocolate ganache before fondanting. Let me know if you need further clarification and I will try to respond much faster! Good luck! I'd love to see a photo of your cake when done! :-)Cakes by Setiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01315004181436141845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8652391318215472486.post-43425766523783212352013-04-25T03:28:34.394-07:002013-04-25T03:28:34.394-07:00i would very much love it if you would be able to ...i would very much love it if you would be able to provide the full recipe for making this cake. i have decided to throw a birthday party for my boyfriend and he would LOVE this cake. To do one standing up, I'd recommend using either gumpaste or fondant with some tylose in it to really harden it so it doesn't flop over (ha). Or you could shape it with cereal treats and cover with fondant and put a wooden dowel, or straw through the base of it and the cake to stabilize it...

Does that help?!

SetiaCakes by Setiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01315004181436141845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8652391318215472486.post-91386947733159658422012-03-20T09:00:41.646-07:002012-03-20T09:00:41.646-07:00This cake is nice how do I do the penis standing? ...This cake is nice how do I do the penis standing? I baked 3 sheet cakes (although I only used 2 for the body and a very small part of the 3rd for the abs and pecs...could have made a much smaller cake for those bits).

The penis is made out of cereal treats, covered in chocolate ganache and then fondant.

Yes, it was a large cake...I didn't actually weigh it, which is funny because I often do on my bigger cakes!

As it is 2 sheet cakes, I used a vanilla buttercream between the layers. I shaped it first, filled it, covered it in chocolate ganache, and then added cake pieces for pecs and abs and covered them in ganache to smooth everything out.

Does that help! :-)

I'm happy to answer any questions you have!

SetiaCakes by Setiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01315004181436141845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8652391318215472486.post-23474131905867463302012-03-07T01:12:43.374-08:002012-03-07T01:12:43.374-08:00Hey!
