Chocolate Panels

I love the look of chocolate panels!   This design idea was inspired by Melissa at Mycakeschool.com.  I would have loved pretty pink or white polka dots - or some cute swirly pattern on my panels, however the cake shop had limited designs in stock and I didn't have time to order from another.

If you've never used chocolate transfer sheets, I highly recommend them!   They are very easy to use and add fun and creative designs to your cake!  I will post instructions soon.  Or if you just can't wait, become a member with www.mycakeschool.com.   It's a great site with all sorts of fun, creative ideas!

This particular cake was chocolate, with raspberry buttercream.  Covered in chocolate ganache and then finished off with chocolate panels and chocolate panel tidbits on top!
